A Cavity Slider door unit is a efficient alternative to the conventional surface sliding or hinged door. Cavity Slider units enable a door to slide inside the wall leaving the floor and wall space on both sides clear and unobstructed. Cavity Sliders are supplied as fully assembled units with or without a door fitted and are available in single and double units with a range of options.

All Cavity Slider units are suitable for internal use. With the exception of double overtaking and full height detail, modified units can be supplied for external applications where they are installed in sheltered protected positions, not directly exposed to the weather

Cavity Slider Design Features

The patented cavity frame is engineered from high quality heavy duty extruded aluminum. All aluminum components are screwed together for strength and reliability. Pine nogs, skirtings and split jamb blocks are fitted to the aluminum frame for ease of fixing gib board, skirtings and architraves. Timber blocks for nailing architraves are fitted to the aluminum split jambs. Door carrying capacity is 120kg, using two standard carriages. Heavy Duty carriages may be fitted for even heavier doors. Fully tested and guaranteed. Door and carriages can be removed without removing wall linings. Door cannot jump off the track. Designed to fit into a standard thickness wall (ex 100 x 5Omm). Will accept standard and non-standard height & width doors. Door guides are not visible on installed units (various door guide options available).

Supplied fully assembled for on-site installation. Nogs offset to allow nailing of incoming wall. Extra nogs can be easily fitted. Aluminum backstud and aluminum bottom plate are pre-drilled for fixing on-site. Available as single or double units with or without door fitted.

Full Height Detail

This unit is supplied so that when installed the underside of the track is flush with the underside of the ceiling - the ceiling will appear to run continuously from one room to another, creating a more open spacious feel. The Full Height Detail Cavity Slider is an innovative concept that has brought about many changes to the way we can design cavity sliders to fit in with modern day architecture.
