What styles, or panel configurations, are available in tall heights?
There are various designs available in 2400mm heights. These include the original MDF and any of the grooved designs such as Manhattan, Tribeca, Brooklyn etc. Please note that all 2400mm doors are available in both hollow and solid core construction.
Can Doormakers Limited door designs be painted?
Yes, our doors can be painted. Many of our range are available pre-primed and ready to paint. Please ask if you require this.
What Doormakers Limited designs are available in a smooth finish?
The panelled doors are available in a smooth or woodgrain finish.
Are Doormakers Limited door designs available in both solid and hollow core construction?
Yes, all Doormakers Limited door designs can be specified with hollow or solid core construction
What is the difference between hollow core, and solid core construction?
Doors constructed with a solid core closely duplicate the feel of a solid wood door. Because the solid core supports the entire door, providing a more dimensionally stable surface, solid core doors offer enhanced durability. The pleasing weight is lovely to open and close. Solid core doors provide a quieter environment in your home.
All doors can be specified for solid core construction. Raised panel designs provide a strong upgrade from flush or flat-faced doors. Solid core doors offer a truly premium decorating option for your home.
How do you repair dings and scratches on the doors?
Since DoormakersLimited door designs are made of wood, you can use standard wood putty to repair minor dings and scratches. Follow the wood putty manufacturer’s instructions for repairing the ding. The repair spot should then be re-primed and painted to match the rest of the door.
Can I install a hook or other piece of hardware to the back of a door made with Doormakers Limited designs?
We do not recommend that hooks, nails, or screws be inserted in a hollow core door.
What is a Doormakers Limited door made of?
Doormakers Limited door designs are made from wood chips and resins that are chemically and physically bonded under intense heat and pressure. Exceptionally durable, Doormakers Limited designs resist splitting, cracking and separating – unlike wood doors.
Does Doormakers Limited provide hardware?
We have a full range of door hardware available for our doors. In fact, if we know the hardware to be used, we can pre-drill the holes for the builder. Please consult us for hardware options.
Can I buy doors directly from Doormakers Limited?
Yes
Do you have fire rated doors available?
Yes, we do. Doormakers Limited have doors that can be specified for 30, 60 minute or longer fire ratings.
What is the standard lead time for doors?
We normally require 7-10 working days to produce an order
Are special size doors available? I have a custom-built opening that features an unusual size door.
No problems. Doormakers Limited manufactures each and every door to size.
Do you have some sort of guarantee on your products to ensure quality?
